One of the most beautiful cathedrals that preserved till our times was St, Isaac’s Cathedral. It took forty years to construct the Cathedral. The construction began in 1818 and ended only in 1858. St. Isaac’s cathedral remained the main Russian church up to the time of revolution in 1917.
